Question: From Pomona, California, USA: Would it be advisable to have my two and a half year old son on the pump to get better control of his blood sugar? Answer: Although insulin pumps have been successfully used in very young children, I personally believe that for the time being you would do better to try to achieve good control with conventional methods using all the latest devices.
