Question: From Beaufort, South Carolina, USA: I have had type 2 diabetes for two years. Eleven years ago, I had breast implants because of breast cancer in my family, and I seem to remember something on the pre-op papers about the possibility of developing autoimmune problems. Is there any connection between developing type 2 diabetes and having breast implants? Answer: Not to my knowledge.
