Question:

From Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA:

I have type 1 diabetes, and I want to take a weight gaining, muscle building supplement, but I am not sure if this is safe. What would happen if I did take the supplement?

Answer:

All the supplements contain extra protein and some contain hormones. These supplements put some strain on kidneys. In general, I think they are somewhat dangerous for everyone, and for those with type 1 diabetes, I don't want any extra stress on the kidneys.
