Question:

From Halifax, Virginia, USA:

I am 61 years old and have type 2 diabetes treated with metformin. Other than the obvious sexual effects, what physiological effects will Viagra have? Could the Viagra increase the glucose uptake (reduce the blood glucose level)?

Answer:

I have not seen that Viagra will cause low blood sugars. However, the physical activity of intercourse could lower blood sugars.
