Question: From Queenstown, South Africa:
My 13 year old cousin, who has type 1 diabetes, has been having pain and swelling in her feet and hands as well as pain in her legs, and when she goes to the toilet, there is blood in the feces. What can we do about it?Is this serious? Should we see a doctor? What can we do about it?
Answer:
Your cousin should call her doctor or nurse and schedule an appointment to evaluate these symptoms.
