Question: From Canton, Massachusetts, USA:
My daughter attends a parochial school. Must a parent be present on school field trips? Are the laws different for public schools versus private schools?
Answer:
In most cases, state laws regarding children with chronic diseases and special education needs apply to private or parochial schools. I would contact your state education department to learn what rights and responsibilities you have as a parent with a child with diabetes.
