Question:

From Hancock, New York, USA:

My husband, who has type 2 diabetes treated with pills, does not test his blood sugar regularly, and I am concerned for his health.

Answer:

Since your husband has type 2 diabetes, he should be testing his blood glucoses at least two to three times per day. Poor control of his blood glucoses could lead to significant complications, including small blood vessel disease and cardiovascular complications.
