Question: From Auckland, New Zealand:
My two-year-old was diagnosed with type 1 eight months ago. For at least that long we've noticed that he drools a lot more than other kids his age - he soaks the front of whatever he's wearing within an hour or so most days. We initially thought this was teething but as far as we can tell his teeth are all through now and the problem is pretty much continuous. Is this somehow related to the diabetes?
Answer:
Drooling is likely not related to your son's diabetes.
