Recent articles tell of cinnamon improving insulin resistance in type 2 diabetics. Should one try cinnamon powder, stick, or oil? What amount and frequency is recommended?


There was a study in Pakistan that claims that a half a teaspoon per day of cinnamon powder will improve blood sugar control. The study was published last year in Diabetes Care [Cinnamon Improves Glucose and Lipids of People With Type 2 Diabetes, Diabetes Care 26:3215-3218, 2003]. You certainly could try it and see what happens.
