Question: From Mohnton, Pennsylvania, USA: I was on a day trip and I brought my insulin with me. I am using Humalog and Humulin N insulin together, twice a day. I ran out of needles, and I needed to give myself a shot. I used one of the needles I had used earlier. I didn't want to, because it's not healthy to do so, but I was just wondering if you could contract HIV-AIDS by doing this. Answer: Many people with diabetes reuse their own needles.
