Question: From USA: Id like to know what happens if one overdoses on metformin, and what constitutes an overdose. I accidently took all three at once! I'm supposed to take one three times day. Answer: That should not hurt. You may get some gastrointestinal irritation. Metformin is also available in a sustained release preparation where you take the whole days' dose at one time.
