Question:

From Dublin, Ireland:

My 13 year old daughter has been insulin dependent since age five. Over the years, she has complained of a sore right shoulder. This week it was x-rayed no problem was indicated. Is there any link between her sore shoulder and diabetes, as I have to follow this up with our doctor?

Answer:

It is highly unlikely, especially given her age.
