Question:

From Brantford, Ontario, Canada:

Is it possible that certain individuals could be prone to higher or lower A1cs? I know that, typically, they say that one's A1c corresponds to a particular mean glucose level but is there research to suggest that it might be more individualized ?

Answer:

No, I don't think so. Although plenty of my patients would have me believe otherwise!
