Question:

From Wadsworth, Ohio, USA:

We have a client who has diabetes and claims that he is not smoking marijuana, but the tests keep coming up positive. He claims that he is having false positives due to his diabetes and kidney functioning. Many of the web sites selling things to help pass urine screens claim that diabetes can give a false positive for THC, but none of the diabetes organizations seem to address it. Can diabetes cause a false positive for THC on a urine screen?

Answer:

I would address this question to the manufacture of the assay being used.
