Question: From Mexico: What can you tell me about the new technique used in Argentina by Dr. Roberto Fernandez Viña and his team with stem cell for a real cure for diabetes? (Stem cell treatment reverses diabetes: Argentine researchers) Are there any results validated? Can this be a real option to cure diabetes? How far we are from this? Answer: It is reasonable research, but not ready for people to fly to see this researcher yet. Early preliminary results from many laboratories do not always turn out to be so easy to replicate or to sustain so that more time is needed, unfortunately.
