Question: From Hernando, Mississippi, USA: My daughter is 17 months old. Three times recently, she filled her diaper to overflowing with urine within 90 minutes. We had her tested at her local pediatrician's office and her fasting sugar was 48 mg/dl [2.7 mmol/L]. Should I be concerned? Is this too low for her age? Answer: A normal blood sugar is typically between 65 and 110 mg/dl [3.6 and 6.1 mmol/L]. I would review the results with your pediatrician to see if any additional testing might be necessary.
