Question:

From Calgary, Alberta, Canada:

My daughter is nine years old and we are installing a sauna in our home. Several people, none medical, have informed me that she should not use the sauna. Can you please tell me if this is true? We have read everything that we could find on infrared saunas and all the benefits that come from using saunas, but we certainly do not want to jeopardize our daughters health.

Answer:

I'm unaware of any danger other than burn in saunas unless a child is poorly supervised.
