Question:

From Plainview, Texas, USA:

My ten year old daughter started with dark spots on her ankle and now they have spread. The doctor stated it was fungus or athletes foot, but I took her to a podiatrist who feels it is diabetes. Why didn't her pediatrician see it two years ago? Do the spots signify diabetes or cancer?

Answer:

I would suggest that you discuss your concerns with your pediatrician.
