Question:

From Harleysville, Pennsylvania, USA:

My five year old son is starting to blink a lot. He says that is vision is blurry at times, but not always and there is pressure. His A1cs range from 6.8 to 7.4 and his daily numbers are pretty good. What could be causing this? He did have a general eye exam and everything was fine.

Answer:

Did you check whether his blood sugar levels are low or lower than expected while presenting those symptoms? In fact, sometimes hypoglycemia unawareness may present with those vision symptoms.
