Question:

From Palmdale, California, USA:

If a person that will be tested for a fasting diabetic panel drinks a can of Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi just before his/her blood gets drawn, will this affect the blood analysis?

Answer:

The caffeine in the soda could possibly affect the test result.
