Question:

From Sweden:

Can an A1c drop from about 10.8 to 7.7 within two weeks? My daughter's blood sugars still act like a roller coaster so I'm not sure if her doctor is being truthful.

Answer:

No, it's generally not possible to have such a significant drop in such a short period of time especially if blood sugar control has not improved the same magnitude. Check with your doctor to find out if the laboratory where the A1c has been analyzed might have faced some methodology bias.
