In fact, if a woman who is of reproductive age suddenly experiences problems with blood sugar control, then pregnancy should be ruled out as a possible cause. Typically, women experience insulin resistance and develop hyperglycemia. Although, sometimes because of altered appetite and other changes in metabolism, hypoglycemia may occur.
