Have you ever heard of aspartame causing elevating blood glucose levels? My soon-to-be stepdaughter seems to have a big jump in her numbers after consuming something other than Splenda. Although many sugar free products are now made with Splenda, many more are not and we are having a hard time because of her reaction to aspartame.

Answer:

Hmmmm. Aspartame is almost no calories so I don't understand how it would raise blood sugar. See Sweeteners & Desserts for more information.
