Question:

From Vallejo, California, USA:

My daughter with type 1 diabetes has strep throat and was prescribed generic Keflex today. How can I find out how many carbohydrates are in this medication so that I can titrate her insulin accordingly?

Answer:

You don't need to adjust for any carbohydrates in Keflex. Your pharmacy should be able to give you any information you need about your medications.
