Is there any way to predict the occurrence of low blood sugars through the analysis of certain patterns in blood glucose readings during a certain period of time? We do not use continuos blood glucose monitoring.
Answer:
Yes. An analysis of blood glucose patterns based on 4 to 6 tests per day should give you some clue. It is best to download with one of the software programs available free of charge from Roche, Bayer, LifeScan, etc. and use the standard or modal day analysis. You can do this in your own Excel spreadsheet as well.
