My daughter is on an insulin pump. Should we be considering giving her other drugs such as amylin and C-Peptides(when they become available)?
Answer:
Amylin is already available, but there is not much data to suggest it has any significant benefit in a classical type 1 patient with diabetes on pump treatment. There is almost no data to suggest any therapeutic use of C-Peptide of which I am aware either.
