Question:

From Suwanee, Georgia, USA:

Do you know of any trials going on now that involve stem cells to cure MODY or type 1 diabetes? We are still waiting on genetic test results for MODY, but we did save my 11-year-old son's cord stem cells right after birth and are interested in finding out if this could be of any help with his diabetes whether MODY or Type 1.

Answer:

I do not have any information about that. However, you may find NIH-funded trials at the NIH web site.
