Question:

From India:

Can the overstimulation of beta cells or overexposure of insulin to target cells as a result of insulin resistance spark an autoimmune response against beta cells meant to decrease insulin's overexposure? If possible, can it also simultaneously cause hypothyroidism?

Answer:

I am not sure, but my first response is a likely no. I do not think this example has been proven.
