Question: From St. Johns, Michigan, USA:
ADHD falls under the autism spectrum. I know that children with autism have difficulty processing sugar. Is autism/ADHD related to diabetes directly or is it also developmental issue during pregnancy?
Answer:
There is no known association of diabetes with autism or ADHD. I believe that there is no good scientific information that either diagnosis has problems with sugar handling either. Also, ADHD is not a form of autism.
