Question: From Washington, USA:
In addition to milk, I have been giving my one-year-old daughter Crystal Light as a beverage option. I recently found out that Crystal Light has aspartame, which I don't want to give her. So, what other options do I have of a no carbohydrate/low/no sugar drink that I can give her that does not have any dangerous chemicals in them? Are there any natural tea options I can do? Please let me know what I can give her because she refuses to drink plain water.
Answer:
You ask a good question with regards to low/no carbohydrates that do not contain questionable artificial sweeteners. I would recommend beverages sweetened with sucralose (Splenda) or stevia (Truvia). You can find specific beverages sweetened with one of these by visiting the Splenda and Truvia web sites.
