Barb Schreiner, R.N., M.N., C.D.E., BC-ADM is the diabetes education specialist with Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Inc, in San Diego, California. In her previous work, she worked with children and families with type 1 and type 2 diabetes for over 30 years and is a popular speaker and author on issues related about diabetes. Barb loves finding new ways to teach people about diabetes and its care. She has 25 years experience working with diabetes camps, support groups, and family retreats. Her interactions with people about diabetes are fact-based and whimsical, interactive and touching.
