A1c, Glycohemoglobin, HgbA1c from 2012

  1. Now 18, I am short and have a lack of facial hair. Is this because I have high blood sugar? My Ac is 16+. (27 Jun 2012)
  2. If a teen with diabetes has an A1c over 10, what will happen? I cannot afford a pump and have forgotten my insulin to carbohydrate ratio. Every day, I wake up over 200 mg/dl [11.1 mmol/L]. (25 Jun 2012)
  3. A PhD nutritionist has recommended my teen son switch to taking his insulin after meals and increase his Synthroid. What are your thoughts on these suggestions? (1 May 2012)
