Genetics and Heredity from 2011

  1. My boyfriend has type 1. When we have children, will they have diabetes at birth? Is there a way to detect diabetes in utero? (20 Apr 2011)
  2. My daughter has had diabetes for 10 years. Since several of my family members are/have had complications, might there be some genetic component that my daughter will suffer them as well? (1 Feb 2011)
  3. I sometimes have elevated fasting blood sugars, but random readings in range. Is this normal? Should I discuss this with my doctor? (17 Jan 2011)
