Insulin Pumps from 2011

  1. A young dietitian told my teen son that he can eat whatever he wants because he's on a pump. Does a pump actually give a type 1 diabetic this much freedom? (4 May 2011)
  2. Recently, my son has had two site infections. I use alcohol on his skin before inserting the infusion set, which we change every three days. How can we prevent infections? (21 Apr 2011)
  3. My toddler was just diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. We started her on the OmniPod Pump, but I would like to get a second opinion about what pump is best for a child her age. (29 Mar 2011)
