Other Illnesses from 2011

  1. My daughter is experiencing motility issues. Are colon issues common in children with uncontrolled diabetes? Celiac has been ruled out. (9 Aug 2011)
  2. Born with transient neonatal diabetes, my two-year-old no longer requires insulin. Today, her blood sugar was 1.2 mmol/L [22 mg/dl]. For a nondiabetic, is this still hypoglycemia? (31 Jul 2011)
  3. My daughter has been diagnosed with hyperinsulinism and prescribed metformin. Should I seek another opinion? Could there be another underlying issue? (1 May 2011)
