Thyroid from 2012

1. My son has many symptoms of diabetes, but testing has always been inconclusive. He also has a goiter on his thyroid that has not been treated. What do you recommend? (25 Jun 2012)
2. A PhD nutritionist has recommended my teen son switch to taking his insulin after meals and increase his Synthroid. What are your thoughts on these suggestions? (1 May 2012)
3. I have a fullness to my thyroid gland. My TSH was 3.5, but I don't know what other tests were done. Is this something I should treat or just watch? What tests do you recommend and when should I have them? (6 Mar 2012)
4. The doctor has suggested Synthroid for my son. Should he really be on this medication at such a young age? Does he really need Synthroid? Can this be put off for now? (14 Feb 2012)
