Looking for a place to put your CDE ready or eligible skills to use in a dynamic but compact Department of Pediatric Endocrinology & Diabetes? IMMEDIATE opening for an RN/CDE at St. John's/Mercy Health/Sisters of Mercy (the name is in-flux) in Springfield, MO. Springfield is the 3rd largest city in the Show Me State nestled at the cusp of the beautiful Ozarks Mountains with plenty of outdoor recreation with lake living. Yes, all four seasons are represented. Branson, Missouri's entertainment is 40 minutes away; Kansas City about 2-1/2 hours away; St. Louis is about 3 hours away by Interstate!
This Department is newly created with a seasoned, progressive, academic board-certified pediatric endocrinologist, plus a CDE RD, and 2 Nurse Practitioner positions. Super administration support.
The successful candidate will be responsible, along with the other education team members, for in-patient and out-patient diabetes education; independent decision making (including those regarding insulin adjustments) is encouraged. Usual phone calls and prescription refills but our new EMR makes documentation and ordering e-prescriptions a BREEZE. The candidate would also be integral to the growth hormone program.
