Health Services Manager

The Barton Center for Diabetes Education, a non-profit organization specializing in programs for children with diabetes and their families, has a year round opening for a Health Services Manager. Located in central Massachusetts, one hour from Boston, Hartford and Providence, The Barton Center has been serving children with diabetes for more than 70 years. We provide educational programs in a fun and safe environment, where children and families can meet others, learn about diabetes and gain the self-confidence to take care of themselves. We run a summer-long resident camp for girls with type 1 diabetes, day camps for boys and girls with type 1 diabetes in MA, CT and NY and year-round weekend programs for kids with diabetes and their families.

The Health Services Manager is responsible for overseeing all health-related aspects of The Barton Center's programs and administration of the health care staff. Qualified applicants will be Registered Nurses (BSN, MSN preferred) with experience in pediatrics and diabetes education; CDE (preferred); MA license (or eligible); CPR certified; excellent interpersonal, computer, writing and speaking skills; sense of humor; love of the outdoors.
