| Hi, My Name is Lauren. I'm 6 years old and in Kindergarten. I love school. I have a cat, Spikey. My big sister is Kristen, she's 14. I have had diabetes for three years. I love playing outside, drawing and coloring, and playing with Barbies. This year when I started kindergarten I decided to do my own shots. It doesn't hurt as much when I do them myself. I ask my mom a lot when I can stop doing my shots and checking my sugar. All my friends ask me if checking my sugar hurts. I tell them that it doesn't. I am looking forward to Camp Funwidi (fun with diabetes!) day camp this summer and seeing my friends. I have gone for the past two summers. Me, my mom and sister walk in the cure for diabetes walk in October. I hope someone will find a cure soon.
