  Back to Kids' Voices Chloe
My name is Chloe. My family calls me Deeder Bopper, Deeder for short. I was diagnosed with diabetes on June 11, 1997. I was feeling really bad. I was thirsty all the time and had to use the bathroom a lot. I was so tired! No matter how much I slept I was still tired.

My Mom took me to the doctor and he said I had diabetes. I had to go to the hospital and stay four days. They taught my Mom, Dad, and NaNa how to check my sugar and give me my shots. I check my own sugars now, but I still don't want to try to give myself shots.

I am seven years old and in the second grade. I love to sing, read, and drive my go-kart. I am a HUGE Spice Girls fan!! I have an older sister, Fraley, who's nine, and a younger brother, Forrest, who's six. Neither of them have diabetes, but they know about diabetes and help take care of me.

I would love to get E-mail from other children with diabetes. My address is DeederBop@aol.com.
