Hi, my name is Andrew. I was diagnosed with diabetes 4 days before my first birthday. I am 6 1/2 now. I have been checking my blood sugar on my own since I was 3 and giving myself shots since I was 5. It is just the way it is. I am the only kid at school who is diabetic, so everyone wants to watch me check my blood sugar. I am in the first grade. My teacher just found out that she is diabetic too, so that is neat! I play basketball and baseball. I love sports! I would like other kids who have diabetes to write me at my mom's address (jsdewil@cp-tel.net).
