I am Summer from Texarkana, Arkansas. I am 7 years old. I've had diabetes for 8 months. I found out because I started to drink a lot and go to the bathroom more often, and I was feeling nausea and having headaches at school. My parents took me to the doctor and checked my blood sugar. It was 305. They put me in the hospital for 5 days and showed me how to take care of myself and do my insulin. Now I do my own blood checks and insulin. Even though it's hard sometimes, I do feel better. Summer receives e-mail at asfour55[@]cs.com.
