My name is Layne and I'm a 6-year-old girl living in Boynton Beach, Florida. I've been diabetic since I was 18 months old, so I guess it's all I know. I do my own shots in my belly because I hate it when Dad or Mom have to do it in my bottom (and my skinny, little arms hurt too bad!). I really liked when me and the school nurse, Nurse Mary, did show-and-tell for my class and I showed everyone how I do my own blood sugar tests and shots.
