Hi! My name is Lauren and I am 16 years old. I was diagnosed with Diabetes on December 22, 1997, a few days before my 14th birthday. One of the signs that I had Diabetes is that I was really thirsty. I was running to the refrigerator to get something to drink. My mom was thinking "Hmmm, she might have diabetes", so she took me to the emergency room right away. They found out that I had diabetes and the ambulance took me to the hospital. That's when I found out I had Diabetes. Diabetes does not hold me back from what I like to do. My favorite things to do are Tap dancing, Playing the trumpet in the band, reading, taking pictures, acting in the drama club at school and more! See Ya! Lauren receives e-mail at Bookie913@aol.com.
