Hi, My name is Quincy and that is me on the right, my little sister Avery in the middle and my other sister Shaylee. I was diagnosed with diabetes on February 15, 2001. I just hit my three year mark and I can't believe it has gone so fast. Dealing with this disease has been a challenge for my family and I, but we are doing the best that we can. I'm able to do my own injections now with my insulin pen, (with my mom and dads help). I stay at friends' houses a lot and have so much fun. I'm 7 1/2 years old now and in the first grade and loving school so much. All the kids think I'm so brave for what I have to do each and every day. Of course my mom thinks I'm the bravest little boy around and always calls me her "HERO". I still hope one day they will find that CURE that mom talks about so much but until they do I will just keep plugging along playing with my friends and all my animals.
