Hi, my name is Courtney and I'm 14 years old. I live in Tennessee and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I was 2 years old. When I was diagnosed my blood sugar was around 800! I was on injections for 12 years before I switched to the pump. Before I was on the pump, I was doing at least 5 injections a day. I'm using the Minimed Paradigm, which is working great. My last A1c was 6! The pump gives me more freedom to have what I want to eat, and is so much more less painful than the injections!
I enjoy playing basketball for my high school, swimming in my pool, and I love playing the guitar. I'll be a freshman in high school when the next school year starts in August. I really enjoy going to diabetes camp, I'm actually going this summer.
If you would like to talk about anything, feel free to contact me at webb57[@]msn.com, or instant message me at CourtRox4eva.
