Hi! My name is Madison. I live with my mom and dad. I am four years old. I go to kindergarten at First Baptist Church. I have one brother named Austin. I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in August of 2002. My mom took me to the doctor because I was thirsty all of the time. When we got to the doctor, he sent me to Forrest General Hospital. I had to stay at the hospital for four days. I liked staying at the hospital because they had a playroom with lots of toys and movies. The nurses were nice, but I didn't like the shots. When I got home, my mom and dad checked my sugar four times a day and gave me two shots a day. Aunt Jenn and Nana come to Mawmaw's house and check my sugar at lunch because my mama had to go back to work. I like to play with my baby dolls and ride bikes. I also like to go swimming with my cousin Tucker. Madison and her family receive e-mail at whiteteacher[@]yahoo.com. Published August 26, 2002
