Hello!

My Mom and I thought it was a good idea to update my page, since it has been three years since my first one. I am 7 years old now and I will be going into the second grade.

I am becoming more and more aware of my diabetes and I don't think it is fair that we have to go through all of this.

I am on lantus and novalog now and I get 5 or more fingersticks and I get four or more shots a day. I do my own fingersticks now, but I am still too scared to give my own shots.

The idea of going on the pump scares me. I don't like the thought of having a needle in my belly, even if it is just for a second. The lantus gives me a little more freedom and I like that alot.

I have recently gotten interested in cheerleading, and went to two cheerleading camps this summer and I went to diabetes camp.

My cousin Raven, my sister Christina and I did some cheers at the JDRF kickoff luncheon this year and we had a lot of fun! My favorite cheer we did is this one.

Hey! We're hot!
The cure can't be stopped!

This year we plan on walking with the JDRF on Oct 1,2005 in hopes to help find a cure for diabetes. We did the walk last year and we had lots of fun! We raised over $600 last year and hope to make it more than that this year. So we need all the help we can get.

At first I didn't want to find a cure for diabetes, I told my mom that if they found a cure I was afraid there would be no more diabetes camp, so she told me that they would proably still have camp it would just be called something else.

So now I am on a mission to YELL FOR A CURE!

You can access my webpage at http://kayleeskrew.tripod.com/kayleeskrew/ and click on the links to make a donation.

Hope to see you at the walk! Remember to YELL FOR THE CURE!
