Yo! My name is Emily. I am 13 and have had diabetes since I was 2. I live in Pennsylvania. I have type 1 diabetes. I am in 7th grade. I don't really like having diabetes. I don't get to eat candy a lot. It really stinks! I don't like getting high and giving insulin. I think that is the worst part of having diabetes. I prefer lows (sometimes) because then I can have candy! Getting too low isn't good because you can feel sick, see things, and faint. I almost fainted in school once in my keyboarding class! The thing I like about diabetes is getting to know people with it. I like talking to people with it and talk about it and stuff. I would like to get to know people from ALL over the world with diabetes. I like to talk to people around my age. Girls mostly, I can talk about other things with girls!
