Hi! My name is Leandra and I am 8 years old. I have type 1 diabetes and was diagnosed on January 29, 2001. I hated the shots so my parents got me an insulin pump. I've been pumping insulin since August 16, 2001 and it is so much better! I still wish though that there would be a complete cure for this disease. I am the only one with diabetes in my school so I am really looking for kids like me with diabetes so we can share our stories and feelings. Please email me at .
